Hotel Trader joins Book&Pay by Shiji Horizon Distribution, unlocking direct hotel access for Travel Buyers
Partnership strengthens Book&Pay’s growing supply ecosystem, providing demand partners with expanded access to The Hotel Trader Exchange while simplifying commercial connectivity and distribution.
Barcelona, Spain, October 15, 2026– Shiji, the global leader in hospitality technology, today announced that Hotel Trader has joined Book&Pay by Shiji Horizon Distribution as an international supply partner. The partnership brings hotel inventory from The Hotel Trader Exchange into Book&Pay, expanding accommodation options for its global network of travel demand partners while simplifying commercial relationships, transaction management, cross-border payments, and invoicing through a single connection.
For travel buyers using Book&Pay, the integration provides access to a growing portfolio of directly contracted hotels through a centralized commercial framework. This expands inventory choice across international destinations, with the potential to support a broader range of leisure and corporate travel needs without requiring separate commercial agreements with each supplier.
For hotels connected to The Exchange, the partnership creates additional opportunities to reach international travel demand, including markets across Asia-Pacific. Hotels can extend their B2B distribution through Book&Pay's network while supporting the distribution of promotional offers, package rates, and corporate negotiated rates.
“Distribution is becoming increasingly data-driven, but data only creates value when it helps hotels make better-informed decisions,” said Nick Beard, Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships at Hotel Trader. “We combine directly contracted hotel inventory with intelligence from billions of data points, helping hotels protect rate integrity, understand where their rooms are being sold, and identify opportunities to grow revenue. Connecting The Exchange with Book&Pay extends access to new travel demand while giving Travel Buyers a more efficient way to access competitive hotel inventory.”
Through The Exchange, more than 20,000 hotels worldwide are connected directly to their property management or central reservation systems (PMS/CRS), providing source of truth rates, availability, and inventory data. This direct connectivity underpins Hotel Trader's approach to transparent, technology-led hotel distribution.
“We’re delighted to welcome Hotel Trader to the Book&Pay marketplace,” said Natalie Kimball, Vice President, Strategic Account Management, Americas & EMEA at Shiji. “With a single agreement, Book&Pay makes it easier for partners to connect with a growing global network of supply and demand, creating a simpler and more scalable approach to hotel distribution.”
“Adding The Hotel Trader Exchange to Book&Pay creates new opportunities for hotels and travel buyers to connect more efficiently,” said Laura Lopez, Senior Director, Strategic Account, Horizon Distribution at Shiji.
Book&Pay is a global hospitality marketplace that brings together accommodation suppliers and travel demand partners, serving both leisure and corporate travel needs. Powered by Shiji Switch, the platform provides real-time availability, rates, and inventory (ARI)connectivity while simplifying the commercial side of hotel distribution through centralized contracting, transaction management, payments, and invoicing.
The Hotel Trader Exchange is the first open hotel Exchange designed to give hoteliers strategic control over who they connect with, and how they grow. Built from the ground up as purpose-built infrastructure, it enables direct, performance-driven partnerships from first connection to final payout.
The Exchange is the fastest way for a hotel to go live, ever. Directly integrated with a property’s PMS or CRS, hotels can connect, configure, and start selling in under 8 minutes -unlocking access to hundreds of Travel Buyers worldwide through a single integration.
The partnership reflects the hospitality industry's continued evolution toward platform-based distribution, where connected infrastructure can reduce fragmentation and simplify how hotels and travel businesses work together. By combining Hotel Trader's direct hotel connectivity and distribution intelligence with Book&Pay's commercial and transaction infrastructure, the companies aim to make global hotel distribution more accessible and efficient for both sides.
